Here are a few of my favorite things that have helped me look and feel better in my own skin;
Water! While there is no exact amount of ounces recommended, every body has different needs there are some markers to aim for;
8-8 ounce glasses per day or half your bodyweight in ounces.
My general goal I use for clients who are training regularly is 100 oz per day.
Eat protein! In my career, 100% (yes I said 100) of the people I speak with are vastly undereating protein for their needs/goals. The general rule is 1 gram of protein per 1lb of bodyweight. Protein comes from so many more sources than just meat and I try to get it from a variety of sources.
Fiber! Girls we need around 25 grams of fiber per day ( men 30ish) to help with blood sugar levels, digestion and satiety.
Of course there are variables for certain individuals, but these are my non-negotiables to keep my skin looking great (face and body), my energy levels consistent, and foundations for hitting my physique goals.
*If you have no idea where you are at with these things start by tracking to see where you are at before you commit to a huge jump. Once you have a baseline you can slowly increase over time.
