Ask yourself what are my primary goals.
I want my clothes to fit better.
I want to see a lower number on the scale.
I want to fit into a specific outfit for an event.
I want to move better or feel better in my body.
All of these things may require a different strategy, but the desire for any of the above would typically lend it self to weight loss. Keep in mind that weight loss and fat loss are not the same. For example weight changes could be water retention/loss, you ate a big meal recently, you've been stressed, you did an extremely hard workout, not sleeping well, hormonal changes or digestive issues etc. Whereas fat loss is minimizing the fat mass of your body. It is possible to lose fat and not see a change in the scale.
Know your goal and then from there take small steps consistently that lead you toward your desired outcome.
PRO TIP:
Choose 2 tools to measure progress!

Scale
The scale doesn't tell the whole story! It's like reading the synopsis and saying you read the book.
